University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) continues to strengthen its international academic partnerships by hosting the Signing Ceremony of the Letter of Intent on the Establishment of a Double Degree Programme: Master of Business Administration (MBA) with the University of Miskolc, Hungary. The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration in the development of a joint double degree master’s programme in business administration.

The Letter of Intent was signed by Assoc, Prof. Dr. Thanavath Phonvichai, president of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Prof. Dr. Helga Kovacs, Vice-Rector of the University of Miskolc. The ceremony was witnessed by senior executives and representatives from both institutions, reflecting their shared commitment to advancing graduate-level education in alignment with international academic standards.

The signing of this Letter of Intent marks an important first step toward in-depth academic cooperation in the establishment of the Double Degree Programme: MBA. The programme aims to provide students with the opportunity to earn degrees from both institutions, enhancing their knowledge of business administration within an international context while developing strategic thinking skills and a global business perspective.

University of Miskolc

Following the signing ceremony, an official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to inaugurate the University of Miskolc Recruitment Office in Thailand, operated under the name Foldana Group, at the Multipurpose Hall, Building 24, 18th Floor, on Tuesday, 3 February 2026. The opening marks an important milestone in expanding educational networks between Thailand and Hungary, while facilitating greater access and support for Thai students pursuing international education opportunities.

Later that afternoon, senior representatives from the University of Miskolc, led by Prof. Dr. Helga Kovacs, Vice-Rector, held a meeting with senior representatives from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanavath Phonvichai, president, together with Associate Professor Dr. Sauwanee Thairungroj, Consultant in the University Council of Thai Chamber of Commerce. The meeting addressed the implementation plan and operational framework of the Double Degree Programme: MBA in accordance with the newly signed Letter of Intent.

The discussion emphasized preparation for curriculum development, programme structure, collaborative academic operations, and future programme management to ensure high-quality education and compliance with the academic standards of both institutions.

This collaboration between the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the University of Miskolc represents a significant milestone in advancing international graduate education.
